The Broadcast Co had the opportunity to partner with Motion Bros for the inaugural 2022 Snow Machine festival in picturesque Queenstown. The Broadcast Co storyboarded, shot and edited three distinctive multi-camera videos, each featuring a unique artist from the festival's lineup.
These video productions provided a virtual festival experience to those who couldn't attend, it demonstrated the exciting atmosphere of the Snow Machine festival. Each video was tailored to convey the essence of the artist it featured, ensuring an engaging and dynamic viewing experience.
The project presented a unique set of challenges, including limited access to some performance locations and operating in demanding cold temperatures. However, our teams demonstrated resilience and adaptability, effectively working within these constraints to deliver high-quality video content.
Our equipment of choice was a blend of Sony mirrorless and cinema cameras. This combination was selected to ensure the highest possible image quality, while also maintaining an efficient level of portability – a crucial factor given the challenging working conditions.
Reflecting on the project, the production of these videos not only gave at-home viewers a taste of the Snow Machine festival experience, but also demonstrated the versatile capabilities of The Broadcast Co and Motion Bros. Through close collaboration and technical expertise, we overcame logistical challenges to deliver a series of videos that truly captured the energy and spirit of the festival.
