Toi Ohomai Graduations 2025

We were proud to be part of the Toi Ohomai graduation ceremonies this year, providing full AV and livestreaming services across multiple venues in Tauranga and Rotorua. Graduation is such a special milestone for students and their whānau, and it was a privilege to help make sure everyone—whether in the room or watching from afar—could share the moment.

Covering All Bases: Rotorua, Tauranga & Beyond

The job spanned three key locations: the Energy Events Centre in Rotorua, Baypark Arena in Tauranga, and the Tangatarua Marae for outdoor ceremonies. Each venue brought its own unique requirements, and we worked closely with the Toi Ohomai team to make sure every detail was sorted.

At the Energy Events Centre and Baypark, we provided full AV support including:

• Multi-camera livestreaming: We ran a mix of manned and fixed cameras to capture graduates from the best angles—no more side/back shots! This meant proud families watching online got a crystal-clear view of their loved ones walking the stage.

• Foyer screens: We supplied 75” screens at both venues so guests arriving or passing through the foyers could keep up with the ceremony in real time.

• Projection support: For Tauranga, we specced additional projectors and screens to ensure every guest had a great view.

For the Tangatarua Marae, which is outdoors, we adapted our setup to suit the open-air environment.

A Collaborative Effort

A huge part of the success came down to solid pre-planning and collaboration. We met with the Toi Ohomai events team on site ahead of the event to map out everything from stage layouts to tech requirements, and worked alongside Baypark’s in-house team to coordinate gear and venue logistics.

Graduation is a once-in-a-lifetime moment, and for many students and families, especially those tuning in remotely, the livestream is their main way to be part of it. That’s why we focused on delivering a reliable, polished broadcast that did justice to the mahi of every single graduate.
